Pastoral Care” is when a person is being “present” in a listening, compassionate, non-controlling manner to an individual or group for the purpose of consciously or unconsciously representing God to them and seeking to respond to their spiritual needs. The trained lay pastoral caregivers visit patients in the hospital under the direction and supervision of the Pastoral Care Department.

In addition to serving through the Pastoral Care Department, they all serve through the Department of Volunteer Services. Each  Center offers differing places in which to offer a pastoral care ministry.

The following are a list of some of the settings in which pastoral care is offered by trained lay pastoral caregivers. -
